What is a gun muzzle?
The primary purpose of a gun muzzle is to redirect gasses produced by the shot propellant away from the shooter's line of sight. Muzzles are the front ends of firearms, specifically the openings or ends of the barrels where the projectiles or bullets exit. The muzzle is the last point of contact between the firearm and the bullet before it is propelled forward. Muzzles are found of various types of firearms, handguns, rifles, shotguns, carbines, submachine guns, and machine guns.

Gun muzzles can vary in design and may feature threading, slots, or other configurations to accommodate attachments such as muzzle devices or suppressors. The design of the gun muzzle plays a crucial role in determining factors such as recoil, muzzle rise, flash signature, and accuracy.
